Notion puts its AI agents in your pocket with a dedicated iOS app

Notion has released a dedicated iOS app for its AI agents, announced on 8 July 2026. The app pulls the agent features Notion has been building into its desktop workspace out onto the iPhone as a standalone experience.

The pitch is delegation on the move. According to Notion, users can prepare for meetings, capture ideas on the go, and hand tasks to an agent that keeps working while they are away — so, in Notion’s words, the agent has “taken the next step by the time you get back to your desk.” For now it is iPhone-only, available on the Apple App Store.

Why it matters: it is another sign that AI assistants are shifting from something you sit down to use into something that runs in the background across your devices. Mobile is where delegation gets useful — you fire off a task from your phone and review the result later.

What to watch next: whether an Android version follows, and which Notion plans include full agent access on mobile. It builds directly on the agent platform in Notion 3.0 and the external-agent orchestration added in Notion 3.6.
