How we review
Our reviews are only as trustworthy as the research behind them. Here's exactly how we work.
Multi-source research
We're an independent research desk. Every review is built from at least two independent, credible sources — a tool's official documentation, its current pricing (which we re-check, because it changes), and how real users describe it. We're upfront about this: our verdicts come from rigorous research and synthesis, not from claims of secret hands-on testing.
What we score
Every tool is judged on the same criteria: output quality, speed, price and value, privacy and data handling, and how it fits into real work. We weight these and show the reasoning openly in each review.
Independent verification
Before a review is published, a separate check goes through it line by line to challenge every factual claim — pricing, features, dates. Anything single-sourced or uncertain is flagged as such or cut. Only a piece that passes gets published.
No paid placements
Rankings and scores cannot be bought. We make money from advertising and affiliate links, but those never influence a verdict, and we disclose them clearly.
We update when things change
Tools change — pricing shifts, features ship, quality moves. When something material changes we revisit the review and update the score, noting the date.
